On March 31st, 2025, the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio (KFNWO), in collaboration with the Mercy Community Health Nurses and Leading Families Home (LFH), conducted its first joint screening event at LFH’s Ashland location. LFH provides temporary housing and social services to get its residents into permanent housing.  KFNWO will partner with Mercy and LFH to provide several screenings throughout the year.

The Mercy nurses provided essential services such as blood pressure and blood sugar tests, while KFNWO offered A1C tests to those in need. Mercy Community Health nurses have been providing free mobile health screenings in our community for more than 30 years.  We would also like to express our gratitude to Mercy and Leading Families Home for their hospitality and for being such wonderful community partners. If you would like to have the KFNWO mobile screening program visit your location, please follow this link: https://kfnwo.org/informational-presentation-requests/
