On November 18th, 2025, the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio (KFNWO), in collaboration with the Northwood Community Center and the UToledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, conducted blood pressure, glucose, and A1C screenings at the Northwood Community Center located in Northwood, Ohio. As part of our mission to provide kidney health services to all, we partnered with the Northwood Community Center to deliver these services to members of the center, many of whom were seniors.

At this event, our Community Outreach Coordinator, Paul, and volunteers from the UToledo College of Pharmacy provided community members with real-time screening results, educational materials and resources, referrals for follow-up care, and KFNWO merchandise. This milestone event marked the 304th community member screened in the inaugural year of KFNWO’s program.

We want to extend our gratitude to the management and staff at Northwood Community Center for coordinating the event and welcoming us to offer these important health services. A special thank you also goes to the volunteers from the UToledo College of Pharmacy for all their work throughout the year. Without their hard work, dedication, and community service, over 300 community members in our service area would have lacked vital health information. We look forward to serving this community more in the future!

As this was our last event of the year, we look forward to reaching more of the underserved, to growing our reach, and staying true to our core value of providing kidney health for all!
