On April 22, 2025, our community outreach coordinator, Paul Viafranco, was at Sofia Quintero Arts and Cultural Center’s women’s health fair with our partners at UToledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, performing A1C, glucose, and blood pressure screenings. Did you know that diabetes is the #1 cause of kidney disease, and half of Latinos aged 65+ in Lucas County have diabetes. This important screening work is just beginning thanks to the Rotary Club of Toledo’s funding.
