On June 21st, the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio, in partnership with our colleagues at UToledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, conducted A1C, glucose, and blood pressure screenings at the City of Toledo’s 2nd Annual Homeownership Fair at Jesup Wakeman Scott High School in Toledo’s Old West End. This was our most successful screening event to date, with 40 community members screened in a single day. It was a privilege to serve so many community members, as the Department of Housing and Community Development provided an event focused on housing, financial, and realty education for first-time homebuyers. We would like to thank the City of Toledo’s Department of Housing and Community Development for coordinating the event and welcoming us in to offer these vital health services. A special thank you also goes to the students at UToledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the volunteers at the event for feeding us and taking care of our needs. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
